VanHouzen Joins Independent Bank's Commercial Lending Team

VanHouzen, WadeWade VanHouzen has joined Independent Bank as First Vice President, Senior Commercial Banker at Independent Bank. He will be working out of the Bank’s Traverse City downtown location.

Wade has 32 years of Commercial Lending experience, and has spent his entire career working with business owners in and around Traverse City. His banking experience includes: manufacturing, service companies, insurance, technology, retail, practice finance, value-added agriculture, hospitality, trucking, assisted living centers, distilleries, and real estate.

He serves on the Board of Directors for the Kiwanis Club of Traverse City and is a Past President of the Club. He is an active member at West Side Community Church, and volunteers his time with Junior Achievement, Traverse Connect, and Central Michigan University.  Wade earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and an MBA from Central Michigan University.

Wade has been married for 34 years to his wife, Janet, and they have two grown children, Cameron and Courtney, both of whom currently work and reside in Traverse City. He looks forward to working with the commercial banking team at Independent Bank.
