Independent Bank is proud to recognize the tremendous accomplishments of the 2024 Michigan Bankers Association (MBA) Perry School of Banking graduates. Four Independent Bank employees were part of this year’s graduating class—Brian Fedrizzi, FVP, Senior Credit Officer; Aaron Hartzler, Mortgage Loan Officer; Janet Hulett, VP, Retail Training Manager; and Lauren Vervinck, AVP, Private Banking Officer.
The MBA Perry School of Banking gives students a broader knowledge of many banking functions, including credits, investments, regulatory issues, human resources, and marketing. Students are in residence at the School in Lansing one week each year for three years. They also spend a minimum of 40 hours in the classroom and work on various projects throughout the year, as well as complete comprehensive final exams and compete in the Bank Simulations.
