GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Independent Bank is proud to announce that they will continue their community donation efforts in 2016 with their new campaign, “Investing in Youth.” They will be giving away a total of $60,000 to 12 local schools in communities served by Independent Bank. The campaign will be broken into three phases, focusing on academics, arts, and athletics.
Phase one of the campaign will begin February 1, 2016, with community members nominating a school they would like to win $5,000 to put toward academic programs and needs. Nominations will take place February 1-15, 2016 at IndependentBank.com/Investing. Schools must be located in counties served by Independent Bank, or within 10 miles of a branch. Community members will then be able to vote on nominated schools February 22-March 7, 2016. Votes may be placed up to once per day, and voter must be 18 years or older and have a valid Facebook account to vote. The four schools with the most votes will each win $5,000 from Independent Bank.
